Realisation
Sharing my will and ‘The Spreadsheet’ with my older children has been an amazing experience. It began building a bridge between us that helped repair the long absences that I spent away from them in their youth. I started discussing the investments (as well as the reason for allocation to certain members of the wider family) with my older children once they reached 16 years of age.
I couldn’t recommend this discussion more. When you have a tool like Waseeya in place,you can use it to help them understand the family’s financial position or health. Such transparency helps them to recognise the funds needed to support a family effectively. All of this will hopefully help them realise who in the family needs help and what is the best way of achieving that objective.
I do not hide anything from my kids, and we discuss all the issues that affect our family. They know what needs to be done if I am no longer around, and what their responsibilities are. We’ve done the same with the app, allowing you to give such instructions through your will and advice/naseeha through the Time Capsule messages that you can send. Alhamdulillah, all of this work with my own children has resulted in financial maturity, and I truly felt it increased their love, respect and, most importantly, trust towards me.
As Muslims and non-Muslims alike, we all have responsibilities towards our immediate family, our parents, our neighbours, our relatives, and wider society in general. As I grow older, what gives me comfort is knowing that I’ve done everything possible to ensure my affairs are organised to leave my family secure. And, from all of this, I decided to found the Waseeya app to share my life’s journey with others. To make it easier for us all to engage with our next life in a positive and constructive way.
The Waseeya app uses the latest technology to provide the solutions to any person who needs to organise, plan and secure family affairs. I’m delighted that creating the app has enabled me to share my lifetime experience with others. It has tools that will enable you to:
- write a will yourself, or get a bespoke estate plan by a professional law firm;
- record your assets and debts in a live register;
- record all personal loans;
- leave written and recorded advice for your loved ones;
- facilitate charitable giving, organisation and much more.
We are committed to adding other tools that will foster greater family values, educate children about financial literacy, and provide tools that could serve as a guide to those you love the most.
So, find out how Waseeya can help you – we can’t wait to have you on board.
